1. As per the report released by CRISIL, India’s economic growth rate will grow up to 7.5 % in the fiscal year 2018-19.


  • Note 1: While in the current fiscal year the growth rate is expected to be 6.5%. (the Financial year 2017-18).
  • Note 2: CRISIL stands for  Credit Rating Information Services Of India Limited. It is a Global Analytical Company providing ratings, research, risk and policy advisory services.
  • Note 3: CRISIL was founded in 1987. Headquarter is in Mumbai, Maharastra.

2. Renowned Bollywood actress ‘Shammi’ had passed away recently. She was 89.

5. RBI has imposed a penalty amount of Rs. 3 crore on Axis Bank and Rs. 2 crores on Indian Overseas Bank (IOB).



  • Note 1: Penalty amount of Rs. 3 crore on Axis Bank imposed for violation of NPA classification norms.
  • Note 2: Penalty amount of Rs. 2 crores on Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) for not complying with the KYC regulations.

  • Note 5:Non-performing asset (NPA) is defined as a credit facility in respect of which the interest and/or instalment of Bond finance principal has remained ‘past due’ for a specified period of time.
  • Note 6: Know your customer (‘KYC’) is the process of a business identifying and verifying the identity of its clients. The term is also used to refer to the bank and anti-money laundering regulations which govern these activities.
